Currently Under Construction
We currently have three class groups at BIS that reflect the Self Directed Continuum development of our students.
- Early Years Blue Thingamajigs - Child centred and play-based the learning is very experiential. The classroom teacher is Vicki Bishop, an experienced early childhood educator who is also our Principal.
- Early Primary Awesome Kids - Crossing over from play based to more abstract learning, the Cross-over students need a combination of both techniques to engage them as they move into greater autonomy and academic learning. The classroom teacher is Val DeMontille, an experienced Primary teacher with a wealth of knowledge in the arts and maths.
- Middle-Upper Primary Fire Dragons - Self-directed learners are the core learners in this group as they strive to have more control over their learning and to take responsibility for their decisions. The classroom teacher is Dominique Harris.
